The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

This is one of a series of studies of Mt. Diablo which rises above Concord and its neighbors, a series that was done as a proposal for a huge painting for the lobby of a Concord highrise.

Gary Coleman's art career had a long gestation period, its academic inception going back to grade school where his preoccupation with drawing contributed to his earning a second try at first grade.
