Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

When could see that I was going to be selling the triptych off of the walls of Noah's Bar and Bistro in Morgan Hill, I went to work on a replacement. The replacement was a bit smaller (30x24" panels), and it sold before it could go up on the Bistro's walls. Back to the paints! Noah's requested brighter colors. You see here the results.
I have done a number of commissions based upon existing paintings. They turn out unique, none a copy.
Gary Coleman's art career had a long gestation period, its academic inception going back to grade school where his preoccupation with drawing contributed to his earning a second try at first grade. He would not feel comfortable calling himself an artist until many years later, after his retirement from thirty years of teaching high school English and history. Gary minored in art and majored in English at San Jose State University, with the intention of becoming a suffering writer.
